Kissimmee, FL - Osceola County Economic Development Department announced today that FPA Clinical Research is expanding their corporate headquarters to Downtown Kissimmee. The new facility will increase the square footage from 5,000 to 15,000 square feet and will be located at City Centre. This expansion includes a capital investment of $1.1 million dollars and the creation of 25 new high wage, value added jobs with an average wage that is 200% $57,196 of Osceola Countys average wage.
"Economic development that leads to high-value, high-wage jobs is a top priority," said Governor Crist. "By working with a company like FPA Clinical Research to facilitate their growth and expansion in Florida, we are accomplishing this mission."
FPA Clinical Research is an independent company specializing in the investigation of medications used to treat, control or cure a variety of disease processes. FPA Clinical Research participates in FDA approved studies in partnership with leading pharmaceutical companies. This expansion will allow FPA Clinical Research to add the Phase 1 trial center to its existing Phase 2-4 clinical research. "My research team and I are extremely excited to be a part of the professional growth in Downtown Kissimmee," stated Dr. Christopher Chappel, MD Medical Director of FPA Clinical Research.
