The town of Celebration is one of the most unique developments in the United States. Celebration was originally designed by the Walt Disney Company to realize Walt Disneys vision of a community where residents can live, work and play. The town was founded in 1994 and its first residents moved in two years later. The communitys homes are reminiscent of houses of the 1940s and 1950s, transporting residents to a time period popular in American culture. The towns architecture and configuration are prime examples of New Urbanism.
