Workforce

Osceola County has a diversified and rapidly growing population and labor force. At the close of 2006, the Florida Agency for Workforce Innovation marked Osceola’s workforce at approximately 120,138 people and has shown a steady growth of more than 4% annually over the last ten years. It also is important to note that Osceola County’s steadily growing population continues to advance the fastest in the primary employment age range of 25 to 44.

Please note that Florida is a right-to-work state and union activity in the County is negligible. Union activity affects less than 10% of Florida’s manufacturing and service industries.

For those companies who are aggressively trying to tap into the global marketplace, Osceola is rich in multi-national residents in general and Spanish-speaking ones in particular. This has provided many corporations moving into the area with a real savings in finding qualified employees who speak and write many languages.
