The city of Kissimmee is the largest town in Osceola County and the seat of county government. With 60,021 residents within its city limits, Kissimmee has a scenic historic district that reflects the citys proud heritage. The city was known as a shipping and cattle center centered on Lake Tohopekaliga. The citys historic core has beautiful older homes reminiscent of other historic Southern cities. In the past few years, the city Main Street Program has encouraged the revitalization of the historic cores homes and businesses. Beyond the citys core, there are established neighborhoods with their own unique character.
