Osceola County's shipping and cruising needs can be supported by Port Canaveral. Now the second busiest cruise port in the world, the Port is home to Carnival Cruise Lines, Disney Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Sterling Casino Line and SunCruz Casinos. In addition, regular port of call stops are made by Norwegian Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean International, Carnival Cruise Lines, Princess Cruises and others, bringing thousands of tourists to our area daily.
Canaveral is also a well-experienced cargo port, and will handle over 5 million tons in FY 2007. Construction related cargos such as lumber, aggregates, and cement lead the growth this past year, closely followed by petroleum, salt, citrus concentrates, single strength juices, vehicles and heavy equipment. Regular ship services are now available directly to Central America, the Caribbean and Europe from the port. Services offered include warehousing, distribution and ship loading/unloading. In addition, three Foreign Trade Zone public access warehouses are domiciled within the port, as Port Canaveral is home to FTZ #136.
