During the 2008 Fiscal Year, Kissimmee Utility Authority served approximately 63,000 electric and Internet customers (excluding outdoor lighting) in an 85-square-mile area, with the City of Kissimmee's 12.55-square-mile area near the center. Electric power and energy is supplied by both Authority-owned generating facilities and through purchased power agreements.
