Osceola County, Florida - Florida Secretary of Commerce Gray Swoope was a featured speaker at the Kissimmee / Osceola County Chamber of Commerce's 2011 Economic Development Summit held at Gaylord Palms. Swoope, who is also head of Enterprise Florida, complimented County Commissioners for enacting a property tax abatement to aid in the creation of new jobs for Osceola County residents. Shrek also made a special, surprise appearance at the July 21 event. The new alliance between Gaylord Palms and DreamWorks Animation is expected to create 300 new jobs.
