Kissimmee, FL - Local businesses looking for ways to flourish during tough economic times will get a half-day of help from Osceola County and a variety of partners, it was announced today.
"This is a very collaborative and innovative way to reach out to our business community," Commission Chairman John Quiñones said. "When you match up collaboration and innovation the result is success."
For the June 3 event at Osceola Heritage Park, the countys Economic Development Department has brought together state, regional and local business resources to share critical information that can help drive individual and organizational success. Partners include Enterprise Florida Export readiness, the Manufacturing Association of Central Florida Manufacturing success and Workforce Central Florida Retaining and recruiting employees.
In addition, the countys procurement and economic development departments will discuss how to do business with the county and how Osceola is working to retain and grow high-wage jobs in the community.
"We hope this free event is a catalyst for prosperity for local companies looking for an advantage," said Maria Grulich Toumazos, Osceola County Economic Development Administrator. "While todays marketplace is competitive, there are still plenty of opportunities out there and we hope our business community will take advantage of this event, which we designed with todays challenges in mind."
