ENTREPRENEUR SERVICES

Greater Osceola and Central Florida offer some of the most sophisticated services available to entrepreneurs:

SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The Florida SBDC at the University of Central Florida offers training and consulting services to new and growing businesses.  In addition to one-on-one consulting, the SBDC offers a wide range of training in subjects like government contracting, international trade and e-marketing.  The SBDC has an office and staff located at the Chamber of Commerce of Kissimmee and Osceola County.

UCF BUSINESS INCUBATOR

The National Business Incubation Association ranked the UCF system as best in the nation in 2014.  In existence since 1999, the UCF system, which includes a facility in downtown Kissimmee, has helped 350 early stage companies create 3,700 jobs with a $2.48 billion impact.  The system has generated $7.95 in economic activity for every dollar invested by its public supporters.  In addition to providing first-class locations with shared services, the incubators provide direct assistance to the entrepreneurs.

GROWFL

GrowFL was created by the Florida Legislature in 2009 to assist second stage companies with growth based on the Economic Gardening philosophy.  As of 2014, GrowFL assisted in the creation of 14,000 direct new jobs with an impact of over $2 billion on the Florida economy.

FLORIDA VIRTUAL ENTREPRENEUR CENTER

FVEC is a statewide web portal provided by the Corridor (Florida High Tech Corridor Council) to connect entrepreneurs with service providers.   Greater Osceola  is a sponsor of the program.  Information on all phases of starting, expanding or relocating a business can be found at flvec.com.
