Osceola County, in partnership with the Orlando Economic Partnership (the Partnership), the University of Central Florida, and BRIDG, was awarded half a million dollars from the U.S. Department of Commerce on Monday to develop a proposal to expand NeoCity’s semiconductor research, development, and manufacturing capabilities.

Osceola County, Florida – PepsiCo today announced its $180 million investment in a 355,000 square-foot mega-fulfillment center that will create 180 full-time jobs in the area.

Located at Poinciana Boulevard and conveniently near the SunRail Line, the project includes advanced technologies allowing PepsiCo to serve both retail and eCommerce customers with customized product portfolios. This project is the first-of-its-kind in Florida and provides continued growth in Osceola County and the surrounding communities.

Osceola County, Florida – NeoCity Way – the central transportation corridor for Osceola County’s emerging technology hub for the creation of high-paying jobs and economic diversification – opened Wednesday, May 19, 2021.

The 2.1-mile long roadway opens up NeoCity to future development. The new road, which was partially financed with a $5.8 million grant from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, provides NeoCity with a half-moon shaped main thoroughfare linking the technology hub to U.S. Highway 192 at Denn John Lane at its northern terminus, and south to U.S. 192 to Bill Beck Boulevard.

The new roadway, which includes a 1,600-foot spur called Ethos Park Drive, features two lanes of traffic with a divided and landscaped median, a grade-separated 12-foot Veloway specifically dedicated to bicyclists and rollerbladers, and two 10-foot wide sidewalks on each side of the road. In addition to the state economic development grant, local funds were used to complete construction of the $11.3 million project, which broke ground about two years ago.

While new to Osceola County, SkyWater Technology is already making its mark in the community – honored as the “Partner of the Year” during the RAM National Circuit Finals Rodeo, which runs April 8-10 at Osceola Heritage Park.

SkyWater Technology, the only U.S.-owned and operated pure play Trusted foundry, today announced a public-private partnership with Osceola County, Florida and BRIDG to accelerate access to domestic development and manufacturing services for microelectronics advanced packaging. SkyWater has established a subsidiary, SkyWater Florida, to assume operation of the Center for NeoVation, a state-of-the-art 200 mm semiconductor manufacturing facility that will become the foundation for the company’s leading-edge advanced packaging technology services. SkyWater will utilize the 109,000 square foot facility, with approximately 36,000 square feet of cleanroom space, to rapidly address emerging commercial and government agency needs for U.S.-sourced electronics.
